The Talisman Wrought Iron Style Metal Side Gate is strong and elegant and will provide a high level of security to any vulnerable access point around the home and garden. Manufactured in the UK to an industry-leading standard, the gate is constructed using heavy-duty 40mm x 30mm hanging stiles, 40mm x 10mm closing stile, 40mm x 10mm cross rails, and 16mm solid metal infill bars.The Talisman design also benefits from a double row of fleur-de-lys finials and a double row of circular wrought iron style scrolls for a decorative effect. The gate includes adjustable hinges and a sliding latch mechanism to enable easy DIY installation.

Ordering Sizes

• Width: To establish the ordering size, you should measure the gap between the existing brick walls or posts. You do not need to make any other calculations. Our "fits opening" dimension shown in the drop-down menu already includes the space required for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "Height (once installed)" measurement includes an allowance of 50mm (2") for ground clearance. This is measured from the floor to the top of the horizontal framework. Please note that this does not include the finials on the top rail.

Example

If the space between existing brickwork measures 1070mm, you should order the gate to "fit opening 1070mm".

Do You Require Any Metal Gate Posts? 

If there isn't a suitable support structure in situ to attach the hinges and latch, metal posts will need to be installed. Please remember that you will need more room to accommodate these items.

Example – A gate to fit an opening of 1070mm combined with 2 x 100mm posts will need an overall space of 1270mm.
