Available to buy online in various sizes, the Ascot side gate is manufactured in the UK from heavy-duty solid steel components to ensure strength and rigidity whilst the decorative design elements provide visual appeal. Supplied as standard with the hinges and latch mechanism, which can be mounted direct to brickwork, metal or timber posts, the gate is primed black (undercoat), ready to be painted to the colour of your choice before installation.

Ordering Sizes

• Width: To determine the ordering size, you must measure the distance between the existing brick walls or posts. You do not need to perform any further calculations because our "fits opening" size, displayed in the drop-down menu, already includes the space necessary for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "Height (once installed)" dimension includes an allowance of 50mm (2") for ground clearance. This is measured from the floor to the top of the horizontal framework. Please note that this does not include the finials on the top rail.

Example

If the space between existing brickwork measures 3ft 6", you should order the gate to "fit opening 3ft 6".

Do You Need Metal Gate Posts? 

Metal posts will be required if there isn't an appropriate support structure in place to attach the hinges and latch, so bear in mind that you'll need additional space to accommodate these items.

Example – A gate to fit an opening of 3ft 6" combined with 2 x 4" posts will need an overall space of 4ft 2".
