The Royale Grange Wrought Iron Style Metal Side Gate will provide a bold statement to the entrance of any property. Manufactured in the UK, the Royale Grange design benefits from a heavy-duty solid steel construction consisting of 40mm x 30mm hanging stile, 40mm x 10mm closing stile, and 40mm x 10mm cross rails, and 16mm diameter metal infill bars. In order to provide added height and a decorative feature, the Grange design has an archtop and double row of fleur-de-lys finials, a central wrought iron style scrollwork detail and the bottom portion of the gate is fitted with dog bars to reduce the spacing between infills.

Ordering Sizes

• Width: To establish the ordering size, measure the space between existing walls or posts. You should not perform any further calculations because our "fits opening" size, which is displayed in the drop-down menu, already includes the space necessary for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "Height (once installed)" measurement includes an allowance of 50mm (2") for ground clearance. This is measured from the floor to the top of the horizontal framework (this does not include the finials on the top rail). You should also be aware that because of the shape of the arch, the 1000mmm wide gate measures 6′ 6" (1.98m) high when hung. The 1070mm width will be a little higher, and the 920mm width will be slightly shorter.

Example

If the gap size between existing walls measures 920mm, you will need to order the gate to "fit opening 920mm".

Do You Need Metal Gate Posts? 

If there isn't an existing support structure in place to attach the hinges and latch, metal posts will need to be installed, so please remember that you'll need more space to accommodate these items.

Example – A gate to fit an opening of 920mm combined with 2 x 100mm posts will need an overall space of 1120mm.
