The Classic Arched Wrought Iron Style Metal Garden Gate is an entry-level design and is an ideal choice for homeowners working on a tight budget. The gate is made from solid steel components for improved strength and features a curved top rail, decorative scrollwork, 10mm thick round metal infill bars and zinc plated and powder coated black for reduced maintenance and faster installation times. Suitable for a range of residential locations, the Classic design includes surface-mounted hinges, latch and receiver plate. These fitting enable installation straight to existing masonry surfaces or metal and timber posts.

Ordering Sizes

• Width: Take measurements between walls or pre-existing posts to establish the gap size. You will then need to order the width according to this measurement. No additional adjustments are required because the "fits opening" dimension in the drop-down box already includes the space needed for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "physical height" measurement doesn't include the space required for ground clearance. We recommend leaving 50mm (2") between the finished floor level and the underside of the frame to ensure free movement of the gate.

Example

If the measurement between walls is 838mm, you should select a gate that "fits opening" 838mm.

Do You Need To Install Metal Gate Posts? 

Where new metal posts will be needed due to the lack of suitable structural support, it is vital you remember that these components will need extra space.

Example – A garden gate to fit an opening of 838mm combined with 2 x 50mm posts will need an overall space of 938mm.
