Ordering Sizes

• Width: Simply measure the distance between the pillars, walls, or pre-existing posts to establish the ordering width. The gates should then be ordered based on this dimension as the "fits opening" measurement displayed in the drop-down menu already includes the space necessary for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The “height once installed” is taken from the ground to the top of the horizontal framework (the top scrolls are not included within this dimension). Within this measurement we have already included an allowance of 50mm (2”) for ground clearance.

Example

If the distance between existing walls is 9ft then you should select the gates that “fits opening 9ft”.

Do You Need to Install Metal Posts?

For locations that do not already have a suitable support structure in place (such as existing brickwork etc) then metal posts will need to be used. If these items are needed, please remember that additional space will be required.

Example – Gates to fit an opening of 9ft combined with 2 x 2" posts will require a total overall space of 9ft 4".
