• Width: This is the measurement required between your walls or existing posts. You do not need to make additional allowances for the hinges as our "fits opening" measurement already accounts for the space necessary for these parts.

• Height: The "fitted height" is measured from the ground to the top of the horizontal framework, with a 50mm allowance (2") for ground clearance. This measurement does not include the scrolls mounted above the framework.

Example

If the gap between existing posts or brick pillars is 8ft, you will need to select the "fits opening 8ft" option from the menu.

Is it Necessary to Install Metal Posts? 

If you need to order metal posts, these elements will require additional space, so please make sure you allow for this if these components are needed.

Example – Gates to fit an opening of 8ft combined with 2 x 2" posts will require a total overall space of 8ft 4".
