With a traditional design, the Buckingham Arched Wrought Iron Style Metal Garden Gate is a practical and affordable security addition for any pedestrian entrance around your property. Available online in various sizes, the gate comes primed in black and includes adjustable hinges (to help levelling during installation), a tip latch and a wall-mounted receiver plate, allowing for fitment to surfaces such as brickwork, metal, or timber posts.

• Width: Start by measuring the space between the walls or the pre-existing posts. This distance should be used to determine the width of the gate you need to order. No further adjustments are required as the "fits opening" measurements in the drop-down menu already account for the necessary space for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "fitted height" includes an allowance of 50mm (2") for ground clearance. This measurement spans from the ground level to the top of the arch. Please note that due to the unique shape of the arch, the heights are subject to minor variations depending on the width you order.

Example

For a gap size of 760mm between walls or existing posts, you will need to purchase a gate that "fits an opening" of 760mm (2ft 6").

Considering Metal Gate Posts?

When your installation area lacks an appropriate support structure, you will need to instal metal posts however it is important to remember these components will require additional room.

Example: If your gate is to fit an opening of 760mm, and you also need to install 2 x 50mm posts, you will require an overall space of 860mm.
