The Clifton Wrought Iron Style Metal Garden Gate is manufactured in the UK in sizes to suit many typical residential applications. Constructed from quality solid steel components, it features decorative scrollwork set within a solid metal frame combined with vertical infill bars, perfect for traditional and period properties alike. Great value for money, the Clifton design includes surface mounted adjustable hinges as well as a latch and receiver plate, which you can fix directly to existing masonry structures or metal and timber posts. The gate is supplied as standard primed black (undercoat), ready to be painted before installation to prevent the onset of rust and corrosion.

• Manufactured in the UK from high-grade steel.

• Decorative 10mm x 3mm metal scrolls.

• 20mm x 8mm flat bar framework.

• 10mm round metal infill bars.

• Supplied complete with adjustable hinges and a universal latch.

• It can be hinged left or right-handed.

• Suitable for fixing directly to brickwork or can be hinged off posts.

• Primed black (undercoat).

Ordering Sizes

• Width: Measure the gap between the walls or pre-existing posts to establish the opening size. You will then need to order the gate according to this measurement, as the "fits opening" size shown in the drop-down menu already includes the space required for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "fitted height" already includes an allowance of 50mm (2") for ground clearance. This measurement is taken from ground level to the top of the horizontal frame. The top scroll is not included in this measurement.

Example

If the size of the opening between walls is 840mm, you should select a gate that "fits opening" 840mm (2ft 9").

Do You Need to Install Metal Gate Posts? 

For installations with no suitable structural support, it is essential to remember that the addition of new metal posts will need extra space to be available.

Example – A garden gate to fit an opening of 840mm combined with 2 x 50mm posts will need an overall space of 940mm.
