The Marlborough Wrought Iron Style Metal Garden Gate is manufactured in the UK to a high standard using solid steel components to ensure rigidity and strength. Ordering Sizes

• Width: Measure the gap between walls or existing posts to establish the opening size. This measurement will be the size you need to order. Our "fits opening" size shown in the menu already includes the space required for the hinges and latch; therefore, you must make no other allowances.

• Height: The "fitted height" indicates the height of the gate once it has been installed and includes an allowance of 50mm (2") for ground clearance. This is measured from ground level to the top of the horizontal framework. The top scrollwork above this is not included within this measurement.

Example

If the brickwork opening size is 1220mm (4ft), you should order a gate that "fits opening" 1220mm (4ft).

Do You Need Metal Gate Posts?

Please note that you will need to install metal posts for installations with no suitable existing support structure. Therefore, it is essential to remember that you will require extra space for these items.

Example – A garden gate to fit an opening of 1220mm combined with 2 x 50mm posts will need an overall space of 1320mm.
