The wrought iron style scrolls are 10mm x 3mm rolled metal for a decorative effect. Available to purchase in a choice of common sizes, they are easy to install thanks to the surface mounted adjustable hinges and include a simple latch mechanism and drop bolt as standard. Supplied primed black (undercoat) ready to be painted to the colour of your choice before installation.

Ordering Sizes

• Width: Measure the gap between the walls or existing posts to calculate the size of the aperture. This measurement will then be the size you need to order. No further allowances are required because our "fits opening" measurement in the menu already includes the space required for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "fitted height" is the height of the gates after they have been installed and includes a ground clearance allowance of 50mm (2"). This measurement is from the ground to the top of the horizontal framework. This measurement excludes the top scrollwork above this.

Example

If the space between existing posts or brickwork measures 8ft 6", you should order the gates to "fit opening 8ft 6".

Are You Installing New Posts? 

If you need metal posts for installation (due to a lack of suitable masonry or support structure), make sure that enough room is available for these items.

Example – Gates to fit an opening of 8ft 6" combined with 2 x 2" posts will require a total overall space of 8ft 10".
