Handmade in the UK, it features a welded 25mm x 25mm box section steel frame, which provides excellent rigidity, whilst the 16mm tube infill bars give a robust appearance without creating excessive additional weight. Furthermore, a double row of offset fleur de lys finials is featured within the design for added visual appeal. Suitable for DIY installation, the Hampton garden gate design includes a pair of easy-to-install surface-mounted hinges, ensuring you can attach them to any appropriate support structure, such as a brick wall or timber and metal posts. Also included is a simple latch mechanism, which can be quickly secured using a padlock.

Ordering Sizes

• Width: Ensure you select the appropriate size option from the drop-down menu, as the "fits opening" measurements already include the space needed for the hinges and latch. Refer to the example below for further clarification.

• Height: The "fitted height" includes an allowance of 50mm (2") for ground clearance. This measurement is taken from ground level to the top of the horizontal frame. It does not include the finials mounted above the uppermost horizontal rail.

Example

If the size of your aperture (distance between walls or posts) measures 1070mm, select a gate that "fits an opening of 1070mm".

Do You Need Metal Gate Posts?

You must use metal posts to mount the hinges and latch plate if there is no support structure. These elements require extra space, so consider this during installation planning.

Example – A garden gate to fit an opening of 1070mm combined with 2 x 80mm posts will need an overall space of 1230mm.
