Ordering Sizes

• Width: To establish the correct ordering size, measure the gap between walls or posts. No additional calculations are needed as the "fits opening" width already accounts for the space necessary for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "Height (once installed)" refers to the distance from the ground to the upper edge of the horizontal frame. This dimension already incorporates a 50mm (2") space to account for ground clearance. The decorative scrollwork at the top of the gate does not feature within this height measurement.​

Example

If the space between the walls or posts measures 1000mm (3ft 3"), you will need to purchase a gate that "fits opening" 1000mm (3ft 3").

Do You Need Metal Gate Posts?

For freestanding installations, you will need to add metal posts. Please remember that when adding these items, you will require additional space.

Example – A garden gate to fit an opening of 1000mm combined with 2 x 100mm posts will need an overall space of 1200mm.
