The Windsor Wrought Iron Style Metal Side Gate features distinct design elements to achieve a stunning overall appearance making it perfect for any property owner looking to maximise security without compromising on aesthetic appeal. Manufactured from 25mm x 25mm box section steel frames and 16mm tube infill bars the gate is strong, rigid, and secure making it excellent value for money. For a decorative appearance, the Windsor design incorporates spiral bars, wrought iron style scrolls and fleur de lys finials. Included with the gate are surface mounted adjustable hinges and a sliding latch mechanism to enable easy DIY installation. Supplied as standard primed black (undercoat), all metal surfaces need to be painted prior to installation to prevent the onset of rust and corrosion.

Ordering Sizes

• Width: Measure the opening between the brick walls or existing posts to establish the ordering width. Do not make any other calculations as the "fits opening" width shown in the drop-down box includes the space required for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "Height (once installed)" dimension is measured from the floor level to the top of the horizontal frame. This measurement includes 50mm (2”) for ground clearance.

Example

If the space between existing posts or brickwork measures 3ft you should order a gate to “fit opening 3ft”.

Do You Need Posts? 

If there is no suitable support structure in place to attach the hinges and latch you will need to install the appropriate metal posts. Please note that in these instances, it is essential you have additional space available to house the posts.

Example – A gate to fit an opening of 920mm combined with 2 x 80mm posts will need an overall space of 1080mm.
