Handmade in the UK from quality grade steel, the 6ft high Windsor Wrought Iron Style Double Metal Estate Gates will make a stunning design addition to any driveway entrance. They feature a robust 25mm box section framework to provide strength and rigidity coupled with ornate elements, including decorative scrollwork, fleur de lys finials and spiral infill bars. For optimum installation flexibility, the gates come with surface-mounted hinges, a latch, and a drop bolt, which can be attached straight to masonry, brickwork, timber or metal posts.

Ordering Sizes

• Width: To choose the correct size to order, measure the width of your current opening using a tape measure. You must then select a size corresponding to this measurement from the size options shown at the top of the page. You do not need to make any additional calculations for the hinges and latch, as these components are already included in the "fits opening" measurement.

• Height: The "fitted height" size includes a 50mm (2") allowance for ground clearance. This dimension is taken from floor level to the top of the uppermost horizontal rail but does not include the finials and scrollwork located above this point.

Example

If the span measured between your walls or existing posts is 3350mm (11ft), you should order the gates listed to "fit opening 3350mm (11ft)".

Do you Need to Install Posts? 

If walls or pillars are not present, metal posts will be needed to support the hinges. In these situations, it is important to remember that additional space will be required.

Example – Gates to fit an opening of 3350mm combined with 2 x 100mm posts will require a total overall space of 3550mm.
