• Width: Measure the gap between the existing walls or posts. This measurement will be the width you need to order. No other calculations are required on your part as our "fits opening" size already includes the space needed for the hinges and latch.

• Height: We suggest leaving 50mm (2") for ground clearance when fitting the gate.

Example

If the opening between 2 walls measures 914mm, you should order a gate to "fit opening 914mm."

If you need to add metal posts to the order, you will require additional space for these items.

Example – A garden gate to fit an opening of 914mm combined with 2 x 50mm posts will need an overall space of 1014mm.
