Suitable for many locations around the home and garden, the gate is handmade in the UK from solid steel components to ensure strength and durability whilst the surface mounted adjustable hinges and latch allow for easy DIY installation to a variety of masonry structures and metal or wooden posts. Supplied primed black (undercoat) as standard, the gate features 20mm x 8mm flat bar steel frames, 10mm infill bars and 10mm x 3mm decorative scrollwork.

Ordering Sizes

• Width: To establish the size to order, simply measure the distance between brick walls or existing posts. You do not need to make any other allowances as our "fits opening" width shown in the drop-down menu already includes the space required for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "Height (once installed)" is measured from the ground to the top of the horizontal frame. This measurement includes 50mm (2”) for ground clearance but does not include the height of the scrollwork on top of the gate.

Example

If the distance between existing posts or brick walls measures 1220mm you should order a gate to “fit opening 1220mm”.

Do You Need to Install New Posts? 

When metal posts are required to install the gate (due to the absence of masonry or suitable support structure), you will need to ensure that there is adequate space is available for these items.

Example – A gate to fit an opening of 1220mm combined with 2 x 50mm posts will need an overall space of 1320mm.
