The Marlborough Arched Wrought Iron Style Metal Side Gate is available to buy online in a choice of sizes to suit many common residential openings. Constructed using solid steel components, the gate features a timeless arch top and decorative scrolls to achieve a traditional appearance and a very competitive price. Supplied primed black (undercoat) as standard, the Marlborough design is made up using 20mm x 8mm flat bar metal frames, 10mm infill bars and 10mm x 3mm decorative scrollwork. Included within the price are surface mounted adjustable hinges and a universal latch mechanism which allows the gate to be installed left or right hand hanging depending upon your individual requirements.

Ordering Sizes

• Width: Measure the distance between the brickwork or existing posts to determine the ordering width. Make no further calculations because the "fits opening" measurement in the drop-down box includes the space required for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "Height (once installed)" dimension is measured from the floor level to the top of the arch. This measurement already includes 50mm (2”) for ground clearance.

Example

If the space between existing posts or brickwork measures 1000mm you should order a gate to “fit opening 1000mm”.

Do You Need to Install Posts? 

For installations that need metal posts (due to a lack of suitable masonry or support structure), you will need to make sure that additional space is available for these items.

Example – A gate to fit an opening of 1000mm combined with 2 x 50mm posts will need an overall space of 1100mm.
