Our prices start online at around £150.00 inc VAT for entry-level designs, £350.00 inc VAT for our mid-range designs and £505.00 inc VAT for our heavy-duty gate range, we have are confident we can match the right size and design combination to suit your budget.

Why such a considerable price variation? We get asked this a lot, and the answer is the specification of the steel used to make up the gate combined with the size of the gates required.

In simple terms, the larger the span, the heavier the component's parts need to be. For example, our ornamental designs, such as the Winchester or Classic, are manufactured using 20x6mm frames and 10mm infill bars making them suitable for openings up to 10ft. Our Royale range of driveway gates (in an equivalent size) will be around three times as heavy as they feature 40mm x 30mm hanging styles, 40mm x 10mm closing stiles and 16mm vertical bars. This increased specification allows us to offer these gates to suit openings up to 6m.

Regardless of your preferred design, our wrought iron driveway gates are easy to install on a DIY basis and require no specialist tools. Where the fittings are mounted directly to existing brickwork, the average time homeowners take to complete the installation is around 2 hours.

If you choose to install the gates on this basis (rather than using a builder), it is essential you are aware that many of the designs will be very heavy and will add to the load placed on the mounting structure. Please check to ensure the brickwork is in sound condition before commencing the works in these instances. If metal posts are required to spread the load, these are also available to purchase online.

• Is the driveway large enough to allow a car to park in the space without restricting the swinging radius of the gates?

• Are there any obstructions present that may prevent the gates from opening fully?

• Do the gates need to swing past 90 degrees?
